ChemChina Agrochemical Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of ChemChina of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. It possesses 6 subsidiaries including Sanonda (Group) Corporation, Cangzhou Dahua Group Corporation, Jiangsu Anpon Electrochemical Co., Ltd., Guangxi Hechi Chemical Industry Group Company, Jiangsu Huaihe Chemicals Co., Ltd., Jiamusi Heilong Agricultural and Industrial Chemical Ltd., and holds 3 listed companies including Sanonda, Cangzhou Dahua and Hechi Chemical.
The main business of the corporation engages in pesticide, fertilizer production, operation and development. It has production capacity of 90,000 t/a of pesticides, 1,000,000 t/a of urea and 400,000 t/a of caustic soda and domestic leading TDI production line. Its pesticide products cover four major areas of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators. The production scales, for instance, organic phosphorus pesticides, non-selective herbicide paraquat, plant growth regulator ethephon, pesticide buprofezin, chemical intermediate hexachlorocyclopentadiene, mononitrotoluene and other products, are top in domestic market. Pesticide production accounts for 8% of domestic output, the main insecticides, such as DDVP products, trichlorfon and omethoate, all take more than one third of output of the domestic market share.
Agrochemical Corporation in the country has established more than 1,300 marketing outlets and at the same time held relatively stable export channels. It is one of the large traders in agricultural products exports and domestic sales, playing an important role in maintaining market regulation.
During the period of "11th Five-Year Plan," the Corporation will cooperate with scientific research institutes with important influence and strength in the formation of scientific research and development center; through enterprise integration for various marketing outlets so as to form a complete marketing network, create its own brand and ultimately become large-scale agricultural group with integration of "technology, industry and trade." |
