ADAMA introduces new products in celebration of 10th anniversary of entering the Chinese market

ADAMA celebrated its 10th anniversary of entering the Chinese market in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on Jan. 6, 2025. The company invited its key partners in China and representatives of senior employees to the event. Together, they looked back at the development history of the company's crop protection brands in the Chinese market. ADAMA also awarded outstanding clients during the event.

ADAMA's development history traces back to the 1940s. Agan, established in 1945, and Makhteshim, founded in 1952, merged to form Makhteshim Agan in 1997, which later changed its name to ADAMA in 2014 and expanded overseas with a unified brand image. In 2011, ChemChina acquired 60 percent of ADAMA's shares, and in 2016, it purchased the remaining 40 percent.

ADAMA went public on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange after consolidating its financial statements with those of Hubei Sanonda Co. Ltd. in 2017. In 2020, through the merging of the agricultural businesses of Sinochem Group and ChemChina, Syngenta Group was formed and ADAMA joined it in the same year. Today, ADAMA has become the world's 7th largest crop protection company, having four leading R&D centers and 22 synthesis and formulation production bases worldwide. Its sales network is located across more than 100 countries, providing solutions for local farmers and clients.

During the event, ADAMA introduced a range of new products, such as the herbicide Apresa®, Edaptis®,insecticide Jingjian®, fungicide Xiumai®, Anguoding®, Huiyi® and Fumanfeng®, as well as the Biologicals Manyi. These products target common challenges faced by farmers and the market, offering improved crop protection solutions.
