The world's largest polymerization reactor using the Novolen polypropylene technology, jointly developed by Tianhua Institute of Chemical Machinery & Automation Co., Ltd. and Germany's EKATO Group, was recently completed and delivered. The equipment marks a major breakthrough in China's independent design and manufacturing of ultra-large polymerization reactors, providing crucial technical support for high-end polyolefin production worldwide. The reactor is a key component of North Huajin Chemical Industries Group Corporation's project with a capacity of 500,000 tonnes of polypropylene per year and adopts the advanced Novolen gas-phase polypropylene process. It sets new benchmarks in design capacity, structural complexity, and manufacturing precision. It also marks the first major project under the strategic cooperation agreement signed by Tianhua and EKATO in 2024, marking the start of a new phase in large-scale implementation of cooperation between the two parties in high-end equipment technology. |
